AMT-I-B-001 Rapid Bac
Total Bacteria (7 ML)
$ 134.23
Bacterial Test

AMT-I-B-001 Rapid Bac Total Bacteria (7 ML)
AMT Rapid Bac Total Bacteria ampoule tests provide fast and accurate diagnostics of bacterial levels in liquid samples, including natural water, industrial water, potable water and liquid food products. Diagnostic reagents are preserved in a self-filling vacuum ampoule with extended shelf-life. Bacterial levels are represented as CFU/mL (colony formation unit per milliliter). Each box includes 30 stand-alone tests.
Methods
AMT RAPID BAC TM Test contains a 2,3,5-Triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) Indicator to help visualize the turbidity reaction caused by the growth of Microorganisms. The positive growth of microorganisms is indicated by a turbid Pink-Red color. When using a Time-based method, the time required to obtain the Pink-Red color is negatively proportional to the level of microorganisms present in the sample being tested. CFU/mL of tested samples can be determined with the included time to cell density chart. When using a Color-based method, the intensity of the developed Pink-Red color after 24 hours can be used to determine the CFU/mL of tested samples by comparing with the color reference.
AMT-I-B-002 Rapid
Bac SRB (7 ML)
$ 142.78
Bacterial Test

AMT-I-B-002 Rapid Bac SRB (7 ML)
AMT RAPID BAC for Sulfate-Reducing Bacteria (SRB) is a multi-purpose media based on a modified Postgate B media for the detection and cultivation for SRB. Diagnostic reagents are preserved in a self-filling vacuum ampoule with extended shelf-life. Bacterial levels are represented as CFU/mL (colony formation unit per milliliter). Each box includes 30 stand-alone tests.
Methods
Sulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB) can be responsible for decreased heat-transfer performance in heat exchangers, induction of corrosion of structural material in cooling systems, increased pumping costs, increased loading, induction of corrosion fatigue or stress corrosion and blockage of filter systems. Detection and control of this type of bacteria is imperative to proper cooling system operation. SRB’s are capable of reducing sulfate to sulfide. When ferrous iron is added to the culture system, Fe(II) will react with sulfide to form black precipitates which indicates the presence of sulfide and subsequently SRB. Hydrogen sulfide with a foul odor of rotten eggs as a by-product will also be generated during the testing.
AMT-I-B-003 Rapid Bac
E. coli (7 ML)
$ 143.64
Bacterial Test

AMT-I-B-003 Rapid Bac E. coli (7 ML)
AMT Rapid Bac E. coli ampoule tests provide fast and accurate diagnostics of E. coli levels in liquid samples, including natural water, industrial water, potable water and liquid food products. Diagnostic reagents are preserved in a self-filling vacuum ampoule with extended shelf-life. Bacterial levels are represented as CFU/mL (colony formation unit per milliliter). Each box includes 30 stand-alone tests.
Methods
Escherichia coli is a member of the fecal coliform group of bacteria. The presence of E. coli is indicative of fecal contamination. Feng and Hartman developed a rapid assay for E. coli by incorporating 4-methylumbelliferyl-β-D-glucuronide (MUG) into Lauryl Tryptose Broth. AMT Rapid Bac E. coli test is similarly modified with the addition of MUG. Rapid quantitation and verification may be achieved with the Presence / Absence or Multi Tube Method procedure by inoculating AMT Rapid Bac E. coli test Ampoules with a sample suspected of containing E. coli.
AMT-I-B-004 Rapid
Bac IRB (7 ML)
$ 139.65
Bacterial Test

AMT-I-B-004 Rapid Bac IRB (7 ML)
Iron-Related Bacteria (IRB) can be found in potable water, well water and industrial water. IRB’s are known to cause discoloration of water and also deposits of iron on pipes in industrial water systems. AMT RAPID BAC IRB Test provides a fast and reliable method for the detection of IRB. Diagnostic reagents are preserved in a self-filling vacuum ampoule with extended shelf-life. Bacterial levels are represented as CFU/mL (colony formation unit per milliliter). Each box includes 30 stand-alone tests.
Methods
IRB’s oxidize ferrous to ferric ion, which is precipitated as ferric hydrate. Iron may be obtained from the pipe itself or from the water. The amount of ferric hydrate deposited is usually very large in comparison with the amount of bacteria present. Some bacteria belonging to this group which do not oxidize ferrous iron may, nevertheless, indirectly cause it to be dissolved or deposited. During growth, they either liberate iron by utilizing organic radicals to which the iron is attached or they alter environmental conditions to permit the solution or deposition of iron.

Methods
AMT RAPID BAC SRB FRAC Test is a multi-purpose test based on a modified Postgate B media for the detection and cultivation of SRB’s that does not have Salt (NaCl). Salt is supplied by the FRAC water sample so that the test always matches the salinity of the original sample without need to measure salinity of the sample in the field. AMT RAPID BAC SRB FRAC Test for Fracturing Fluids rapidly and easily detect the problem-causing Sulfate-Reducing Bacteria (SRB) allowing field engineers the ability to identify the correct dosages of chemical biocides and to monitor their effectiveness, ensuring processes run smoothly and maximizing well yield faster and without the hassles of traditional SRB tests currently on the market.
AMT-I-B-006 Rapid
Bac Coliform (7 ML)
$ 144.40
Bacterial Test

AMT-I-B-006 Rapid Bac Coliform (7 ML)
AMT Rapid Bac Coliform ampoule tests provide fast and accurate diagnostics of total coliform levels in liquid samples, including natural water, industrial water, potable water and liquid food products. Diagnostic reagents are preserved in a self-filling vacuum ampoule with extended shelf-life. Bacterial levels are represented as CFU/mL (colony formation unit per milliliter). Each box includes 30 stand-alone tests.
Methods
AMT RAPID BAC CF is a modification of the original bile salt broth recommended by MacConkey and contains less inhibitory Brom cresol purple (BCP) as an indicator of lactose fermentation and Oxgall to inhibit gram-positive microorganisms. The BCP Indicator along with the inverted Durham tube also helps visualize the turbidity reaction and gas production caused by the growth of Microorganisms. Positive growth of microorganisms is indicated by a turbid yellow color. When using the Multiple Tube Test, tubes that turn yellow are considered positive. When using a presence / absence method the tubes that turn yellow are positive for lactose fermentation and gas trapped in the Durham tube indicates CO2 production.

Methods
Enterococci is capable of hydrolyzing esculin to produce esculetin, which reacts with the ferric ammonium citrate to form a dark brown or black complex. Oxgall is added to inhibit gram-positive bacteria other than enterococci. Sodium azide is used to suppress the interference by gram-negative bacteria.
